The first freestyle wrestling champions have been determined

The Schoolchildren’s Republic Sports Olympiad, organized in Azerbaijan for the first time by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the support of the Baku City Circuit Operations Company and the relevant sports federations, is underway.

On the second day of the competition, held at the Azerbaijan Technical University Sports Hall, nearly 180 freestyle wrestlers tested their skills.

First, the finalists in the 41 kg, 48 kg, 57 kg, 68 kg and 85 kg weight categories were determined:

41 kg

Ulvu Gurban­zade (Goygol) – Bayram Ahmadzade (Gakh, ROIL)

48 kg

Nahid Teymurov (Gobustan) – Subhan Akhundzade (Absheron)

57 kg

Nuh Karim (Lankaran) – Ramal Suleymanli (Absheron)

68 kg

Razim Musayev (UGIM-2) – Nushratali Mammad­zade (Sumgayit, Education)

85 kg

Javid Aliyev (Jalilabad) – Akbar Mammadli (Ganja, Education-1)

In the evening session, the medalists in the 38 kg, 44 kg, 52 kg, 62 kg and 75 kg weight categories were also determined:
