Gunay Gurbanova wins European bronze

The European Wrestling Championships in Tirana, the capital of Albania, continue.

On the fourth day of the competition, our women’s national team secured its first medal.

Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) faced Belarus’ Marta Hetmanava in the bronze medal match. In a hard-fought bout, the 18-year-old wrestler claimed a 7–5 victory, earning a place on the third step of the podium and marking her senior European Championships debut with a medal.
