Head coach of our wrestling national team named coach of the year

The head coach of the national freestyle wrestling team, Khetag Gazyumov, has been named the Best Coach of 2025.

Last year, under the leadership of K. Gazyumov, our national team became European champion and finished 4th at the World Championships. These achievements were highly valued by United World Wrestling Europe (UWW Europe), which selected our national team’s head coach as Coach of the Year.

On this occasion, the President of United World Wrestling Europe, Karl-Martin Dittmann, presented a special award to K. Gazyumov during the European Championships held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
