Wrestling halls in Gazakh have been provided with inventory

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) continues its series of initiatives aimed at rebuilding infrastructure in the regions.

As part of this program, the latest event was held in Gazakh. With its rich wrestling traditions and history of producing European and World champions, the further development of wrestling in Gazakh is a priority for the AWF. To support this goal, wrestling mats and equipment have been provided by the AWF to sports halls located on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Gazakh city and in the village of 2nd Shikhli.

At the event, AWF Secretary General Nasimi Musayev, Deputy Head of the Gazakh-Tovuz Regional Department of Youth and Sports Elchin Jafarov, Director of the Gazakh UGIM Rahim Namazov, AWF Deputy Secretary General Orkhan Mammadov, and honored coach Ramiz Taghiyev emphasized the importance of these efforts in promoting wrestling in the regions. They expressed confidence that such conditions would lead to the training of strong and competitive wrestlers.

It should be noted that over the past two years, wrestling halls in Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, Imishli, Salyan, Gusar, Goranboy, Gabala, Masalli, Astara, Goychay, and Shamakhi have been provided with essential equipment by the AWF. This process, which is a key part of the federation’s development strategy, is planned to continue in stages.
