Wrestlers win eight medals at the Universiade

The wrestling competitions at the Universiade of Turkic States in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, have come to an end.
Today, contests in six more weight categories were held at the sports hall of the “Rukh Ordo” Cultural Center, and four of our wrestlers reached the podium. In Greco-Roman wrestling, Roman Karimov (67 kg) won gold, while in freestyle wrestling, Ashraf Ashirov (86 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) also claimed gold. Our freestyle wrestler Musa Agayev (65 kg) took silver.
Thus, our wrestlers finished the Universiade with a total of eight medals: four gold, two silver, and two bronze. Yesterday, Vedat Gasimli (60 kg) won gold, Ali Guliyev (97 kg) took silver, and Ramik Heybatov (74 kg) along with Javad Mammadov (77 kg) earned bronze.
In the team standings, our Greco-Roman wrestling team finished first, while our freestyle team secured second place.
