Two Azerbaijani Wrestlers Claim Bronze at World Championships

The U20 World Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria, continue.

On the second day of competition, two of Azerbaijan’s freestyle wrestlers secured bronze medals.

In the 70 kg category, Nurlan Agazade marked his debut at the World Championships by climbing to the third step of the podium. In the decisive match, he defeated Georgia’s Goga Otinashvili with a commanding 4-0 victory.

At 125 kg, Yusif Dursunov faced France’s Levan Lagvilava in the bronze medal bout. Scoring the decisive point in the final seconds, Dursunov triumphed 2-1 to earn a place among the world’s top three.
