Training Camp in Guba with the US National Team

The Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling national team has started its next training camp.

After completing their training in Vladikavkaz and taking a short break, the team has traveled to Guba. Together with the US national team, they will hold a training camp in the northern region. The preparation, which began today, will continue until June 6.

The camp is being conducted under the leadership of head coach Aleksandr Tarakanov, senior coach Rovshan Bayramov, and coaches Hasan Aliyev and Kamran Mammadov. Participants include Eldaniz Azizli, Elmir Aliyev, Rashad Mammadov (all 55 kg), Nihat Mammadli, Nihad Guluzadeh, Ilkin Gurbanov, Huseyn Garibov (all 60 kg), Murad Mammadov, Ziya Babashov, Farid Bakhishli (all 63 kg), Hasrat Jafarov, Farid Khalilov, Muhammad Shukurzadeh (all 67 kg), Ulvi Ganizade, Ruslan Nurullayev (both 72 kg), Sanan Suleymanov, Khasay Hasanli (both 77 kg), Gurban Gurbanov, Tuncay Vazirzade (both 82 kg), Islam Abbasov, Rafiq Huseynov (both 87 kg), Arif Niftullayev, Murad Ahmadiev, Mammad Ahmadiev (all 97 kg), and Beka Kandelaki and Sarxan Mammadov (both 130 kg).

The Guba training camp is part of the preparations for the year’s final ranking tournament, scheduled to take place in Hungary from July 17-20, and the World Championship in Croatia from September 13-21.
