Three of our wrestlers reach the European championship final

The U15 European Wrestling Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria are nearing completion.
On the fourth day of competition, the final seven members of our freestyle wrestling team entered the tournament, with three of them advancing to the final.
Yusif Abdullayev (38 kg) claimed technical superiority victories over Ukraine’s Ivan Vasylkov (10:0), Armenia’s Norayr Gevorgyan (11:0), and Belgium’s Mohammad Bisultanov (13:1). Yusif will face Georgia’s Rezi Iobidze in the final.
Elman Ismayilov (41 kg) booked his place in the final with early victories over Georgia’s Giorgi Kavelidze (by fall), Belarus’ Yevgeni Latantsov (by fall), and Armenia’s Tigran Agajanyan (11:0). Elman will take on Bulgaria’s Simeon Velikov in the decisive bout.
Mahammad Karimov (44 kg) eliminated Poland’s Gabriel Mateyko (10:0) and Armenia’s Aleks Ghazaryan (3:2). Mahammad lost to Ukraine’s Arsen Pyzhuk 3:5 in the semifinals and will wrestle for bronze tomorrow.
Adam Guliyev (52 kg) advanced to the final after defeating Bulgaria’s Petro Karlangach (12:0), Armenia’s Narek Dallakyan (6:2), and Israel’s Ron Brillman (10:0). Adam will compete against Badruddin Magomedov in the final.
Yusif Huseynov (62 kg) overcame Turkey’s Yusuf Ayaz (13:0) and Armenia’s Mer Papikyan (8:6), but was defeated 3:5 by Georgia’s Ioane Gavshelishvili in the semifinals. He will wrestle for bronze tomorrow.
Ali Baloghlanov (48 kg) lost to Georgia’s Zurab Dotiashvili (0:11) in the qualification round, while Yilmaz Samadov (57 kg) was defeated by Bulgaria’s Emre Erkanov (2:4) in the round of 16.
