The team of national wrestling teams that will participate in the gymnasium has been announced

From October 24 to 30, the Gymnasiade will be held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

Wrestling is included in the program of this multi-sport event, which will feature competitions in 26 sports. The wrestling events will take place in the final days of the Gymnasiade (October 28-30). Members of our U-17 national team will represent our country in this competition for school students.

Under the guidance of head coach Asgar Khan Novruzov and coach Yashar Aliyev, the following freestyle wrestlers will compete: Ravan Hasanov (48 kg), Ramal Mirhuseynov (51 kg), Huseyn Huseynov (55 kg), Həsən Həsənov (60 kg), Huseyn Ismayilov, Farid Agasizade (both 65 kg), Nihad Abasov, Rashad Veysalov (both 71 kg), Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg), Farhad Suleymanli (92 kg), and Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg).

In the girls’ competition, head coach Rovshan Umudov will field Nazrin Ahmadli (43 kg), Fatima Bayramova (53 kg), Esra Mammadli, and Fidan Babayeva (both 57 kg).

In the Greco-Roman wrestling competition, coaches Taleh Israfilov and Rasim Agayev will have Hussein Aliyev (45 kg), Shahid Nabiyev (48 kg), Elshad Abbasov, Nihat Behmanov (both 51 kg), Turan Dashdemirov, Emrah Emrahov (both 55 kg), Nihat Taghiyev (60 kg), Akif Najafli (65 kg), Yusif Ahmadli (71 kg), Nicat Yeylaqaliyev, Emil Abasov (80 kg), Said Pashayev (92 kg), and Mikayil Ismayilov (110 kg) competing.

The Gymnasiade, featuring participants from 71 countries, will have first-degree referee Kamran Aliyev and second-degree referee Ali Babayev ensuring fairness in the competitions.
