The final phase of the nationwide wrestling coaches’ seminar has concluded.

The last stage of the seminar was held in Baku. The event was organized at the Sabunçu Youth House, where wrestling coaches operating in the capital participated.

During the opening of the theoretical part of the seminar, Samir Salehov, the sector head of the Baku Youth and Sports Department, remarked that this seminar, organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS), was held for the second consecutive year and is of great importance for the development of coach-educators. Qərib Əliyev, the chairman of the AWF Judges Committee, reminded attendees of some wrestling rules. Cəbrayıl Həsənov, the head coach of the national freestyle wrestling team, noted that some specialists working in clubs and communities are not effectively conveying wrestling techniques to athletes, emphasizing the necessity of being highly attentive and knowledgeable in this regard. Rövşən Bayramov, the head coach of the national Greco-Roman wrestling team, addressed one of the pressing issues regarding the consequences of adolescent wrestlers losing excessive weight beyond the norm.

The practical part of the seminar took place at the AWF training and coaching base. Coaches of the national teams allocated time for the execution of various techniques during a demonstration training session in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
