The Country’s Strongest Wrestlers to Be Determined in Astara

From April 15 to 19, the national championships in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling (U17), as well as women’s wrestling (U15 and U17), will be held.

These championships will be hosted in Astara for the very first time. The event will take place at the Astara Olympic Sports Complex and will be officiated by both international and national-level referees. Among them will be invited officials from Turkey, Iran, and Georgia.

The first two days of the tournament will determine the champions in U17 freestyle wrestling, followed by two days dedicated to the U17 Greco-Roman style. On the final day, champions in women’s wrestling for the U15 and U17 age categories will be announced. As a qualifying event for the national teams, the competition matches will begin each day at 10:00 AM.
