Team Azerbaijan Prepares for World Championships with Training Camp in Bulgaria

The Azerbaijan U20 women’s wrestling team has commenced its next training camp ahead of the upcoming world championship.

From August 5 to 20, members of the national team will undergo preparations in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Under the guidance of acting head coach Toghrul Asgarov and senior coach Rovshan Umudov, wrestlers Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg), and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) will train at the “Diana” Sports Complex alongside the national teams of Bulgaria and France.

The two-week camp will focus on both physical conditioning and tactical-technical training. The goal is to help the athletes acclimate to local conditions and ensure optimal preparation for the U20 World Championships, which will be held in Samokov, Bulgaria.

The national team is scheduled to travel directly from Sofia to Samokov on August 20.
