Team Azerbaijan finishes second at World Championships

The World Wrestling Championships have wrapped up in Zagreb, Croatia.

Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman national team claimed one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, finishing runner-up in the team standings with 89 points. Iran topped the table with 180 points, while Uzbekistan placed third with 72.

It should be recalled that Ulvi Ghanizade (72 kg) secured gold, Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) earned silver, and Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg) along with Murad Ahmadliyev (97 kg) each claimed bronze for Team Azerbaijan.
