Seminar held for wrestling referees and coaches in Nakhchivan

A technical seminar on the implementation of new rules for wrestling referees was organized at the Ilham Aliyev Olympic Sports Complex in Nakhchivan. The seminar was conducted by Asif Shiraliyev, Chairman of the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, and committee member Sadi Guliyev.

Fourteen specialists working as coaches and referees in the Autonomous Republic took part in the educational event. During the seminar, the latest changes introduced by United World Wrestling (UWW) to the wrestling rules, the mechanisms for their application in competitions, and the importance of delivering correct and consistent refereeing decisions were explained in detail, followed by discussions based on practical examples.

The main goal of the event was to enhance the knowledge and skills of referees and coaches in this area, as well as to contribute to ensuring objectivity and fair officiating at wrestling competitions held in Nakhchivan.
