Record number of participants at the Azerbaijan Championship

The U17 Azerbaijan Beach Wrestling Championship was held today at EGP Arena in the European Games Park.

A record number of 131 wrestlers competed in four weight categories at the competition, held with the partnership of the “Millenium” Ice Cream Factory.

The competition initially began with a knockout format. The participants were then divided into groups, with the top two wrestlers from each group advancing to the next stage. Following the quarterfinal and semifinal bouts, the medal matches were held.

Tomorrow, the Azerbaijan Beach Wrestling Championships for men and U17 girls will be held at the same venue.
