Our wrestlers will compete in the “Victory Cup”

The “Victory Cup” wrestling tournament will be held in Antalya, Türkiye, from April 12 to 14.

Our country will be represented by the national teams in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling in the U17 age category.

Under the leadership of head coach Rafiq Huseynov, and coaches Kamran Mammadov, Zohrab Abbasov, and Mushvig Mammadov, the following wrestlers will compete in Greco-Roman wrestling: Ali Javadli, Ali Musayev (both 45 kg), Omar Salmanov, Yusif Mirzayev, Umid Babayev (all 48 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli, Huseyn Mustafazade (both 51 kg), Gurban Majnunov, Amin Mammadov (both 55 kg), Elmir Cherkezov, Elmir Abdulla (both 60 kg), Orkhan Habibli, Nihad Maharramov (both 65 kg), Nadir Hasanov, Ali Mammadov, Ibrahim Babayev (all 71 kg), Ruslan Nuriyev, Isfahan Hasanov, Zaka Yusubov (all 80 kg), Zohrab Safarov (92 kg), Emin Bakhshaliyev, Mahammad Mustafayev, and Manaf Mammadli (all 110 kg).

In freestyle wrestling, the team will compete under the leadership of head coach Asgarxan Novruzov, and coaches Yashar Aliyev and Allahverdi Valiyev. The squad includes: Tunar Hasanov (45 kg), Huseyn Rzazade (48 kg), Ibrahim Hasanov (51 kg), Abbas Shafiyev (55 kg), Vahid Mammadov (60 kg), Rashid Nazarov (65 kg), Tunar Guliyev (71 kg), Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg), Elgun Karimli (92 kg), and Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg).

At the traditional tournament, Category II referee Khayal Aliyev will officiate.
