Our wrestler wins gold medal in Belarus

From February 20 to 22, the Alexander Medved Memorial Tournament, dedicated to three-time Olympic champion Alexander Medved, was held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

At the tournament, organized for the 55th time, member of the national freestyle wrestling team Abubakr Abakarov (92 kg) delivered a successful performance. Defeating all of his opponents, our representative climbed to the top step of the podium.

In the final, Abakarov secured a confident 12–5 victory over Dagestani wrestler Gamzat Gasanov.
