Our national teams will compete in a ranking tournament

The “Muhamet Malo” tournament will kick off tomorrow in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

In the second ranking event of the year, our country will be represented by the national teams in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.

The tournament, which will be organized at the Olympic Park, will begin with the freestyle competitions. Under the leadership of head coach Khetag Gazumov, senior coach Jabrayil Hasanov, and coach Sharif Sharifov, Islam Bazarqanov (57 kg), Rashid Babazada (65 kg), Turan Bayramov, Kenan Heybatov (both 74 kg), Jabrayil Hajiyev (79 kg), Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg), Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg), and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) will take to the mat.

In the final days of the tournament, the Greco-Roman wrestling events will take place. Under the guidance of head coach Mohammad Bana and coaches Rovshan Bayramov, Rasul Jazini, and Sabah Shariati, Hikmat Hagverdiyev, Rashad Mammadov (both 55 kg), Nihat Mammadli, Nihad Guluzade (both 60 kg), Sakit Guliyev, Ziya Babashov, Murad Mammadov (all 63 kg), Mohammad Shukurza de (67 kg), Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg), Davud Mammadov (77 kg), Tuncay Vazirzade (82 kg), Islam Abbasov, Lachin Valiyev (both 87 kg), Murad Ahmadyev, Mohammad Ahmadyev, Arif Niftullayev (all 97 kg), and Beka Kandelaki and Sarkhan Mammadov (both 130 kg) will compete in Tirana.

The matches will start each day at 13:30 Baku time, while the medal bouts will begin at 21:00.

At the ranking tournament, Category I referee Asif Shiraliyev will officiate the matches.
