Our national team becomes European champion again

The Greco-Roman wrestling competition at the European Championships held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, has concluded.

Our national team delivered a successful performance and defended its title. With a total of 2 gold and 3 bronze medals, our team once again became European champion with 133 points. Turkey finished second with 121 points, while Georgia took third place with 118 points.

For the national team, Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold medals, while Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) secured bronze medals.
