Our nation became the third in the world

The Greco-Roman wrestling competition at the U-17 World Championship, held in Amman, Jordan, has concluded.

Under the leadership of head coach Taleh Israfilov and coaches Nazim Ahmadov and Rasim Agayev, our team won 3 medals at the World Championship.

Turan Dashdamirov (51 kg) and Ayxan Javadov (60 kg) defeated all their opponents to become world champions. Meanwhile, Əmrah Əmrahov (48 kg) secured a bronze medal.

In the end, our team scored 105 points, finishing third in the team rankings. Iran (140 points) took first place, and Uzbekistan (113 points) finished in second place.
