Olympic Medalist Claims Gold in Poland

An international wrestling tournament was held in Warsaw from July 30 to August 3, dedicated to the memory of some of Poland’s legendary wrestlers.

Azerbaijan was represented in freestyle wrestling by Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg). The experienced wrestler, who missed last month’s ranking event in Hungary due to injury, returned to competition in impressive fashion.

The Olympic bronze medalist and European champion delivered a dominant performance, defeating all of his opponents to claim the top spot on the podium.
