Olympic champions share motivation and success messages with wrestlers

A meeting between young wrestlers and renowned athletes was organized at the gym hall of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Sports Organizations Association (AHITA), operating under the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.

Olympic champions Namig Abdullayev, Farid Mansurov, and Head of the Sports Department of the National Olympic Committee Hasanaga Rzayev attended the event. The purpose of the meeting was to boost the motivation of young athletes, share Olympic experience with them, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The living legends of wrestling spoke about their honorable sporting careers and emphasized that great achievements can only be attained through hard work, discipline, determination, and love for the Motherland. They encouraged the youngsters to always remain purposeful and strong-willed in their sporting journey.

During the meeting, the young wrestlers asked the champions various questions and listened to their thoughts about professional sports careers.

The guests also familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the sports center, shared signed photographs with the youngsters, and took commemorative photos together.

It should be noted that this sports center, which has been operating since 1972, has played a significant role in the development of many well-known wrestlers, including brothers Namig and Arif Abdullayev, Jabrail Hasanov, Aliabbas Rzazade, Afgan Khashalov, and others. Currently, nearly 80 children and young wrestlers are learning the secrets of the sport here under the guidance of six coaches.
