Wrestlers to compete in Novosibirsk test

Tomorrow, an international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament will kick off in Novosibirsk, Russia.

The competition, dedicated to the memory of USSR Hero Aleksandr Aksyonov, is expected to bring together more than 200 athletes from 10 countries.

At the memorial, which will be held for the fourth time, Azerbaijan will be represented under the guidance of coaches Sabah Shariati and Zohrab Abbasov by Rashad Mammadov, Farid Sadikhli (both 55 kg), Mahammad Shukurzade (67 kg), Tavekgul Haziyev (72 kg), Ravan Nuriyev (77 kg), Lachin Valiyev (87 kg), Arif Niftullayev, Mahammad Ahmadiev (both 97 kg), and Sarxan Mammadov (130 kg).

The two-day tournament will also feature referee Habib Nurulu, who will officiate as a first-class official.
