New wrestling hall opened in Masalli

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) continues to carry out a series of measures to improve the material and technical base and infrastructure in the regions.

Today, another wrestling hall was put into operation. The opening ceremony of the wrestling hall of the Masalli Children’s Youth Sports and Chess School was held. The event was attended by AWF Secretary General Nasimi Musayev, his deputy Orkhan Mammadov, senior coach of the freestyle wrestling team Jabrayil Hasanov, senior coach of the women’s wrestling team Togrul Askerov, coach of the U-20 freestyle wrestling team Ashraf Aliyev, head of the Masalli sector of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Education Department Elman Rzayev, employee of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department Yusif Khamıyev, assistant to the Masalli district executive judge Zamin Kazimov, as well as wrestling specialists operating in the region. The speakers expressed their belief that the wrestling hall will give a great impetus to the development of this sport in Masalli and wished the wrestlers success.

It should be noted that a wrestling section for age groups 3 operates under the leadership of coaches Magsud Aghayev and Javad Hasanov. The fitness hall equipped with sports equipment of this wrestling school will be used for physical training exercises. The sports center was provided with the necessary inventory by the AGF.
