Natik Hajiyev Concludes International Refereeing Career

Two Azerbaijani referees officiated at the U17 World Wrestling Championships held in Athens, Greece.

Class I officials Natik Hajiyev and Elman Ismayilov served throughout the week-long tournament, ensuring fairness on the mat with a high level of professionalism and precision. Their performance earned praise and continued trust from United World Wrestling (UWW).

This championship held special significance for Natik Hajiyev, marking his final international assignment. In accordance with UWW regulations, the veteran referee officially retired from international officiating upon reaching the age of 60. On the final day of the event, UWW presented Hajiyev with a commemorative gift in recognition of his years of dedicated service.
