National team members introduced to the new anti-doping rules

An educational seminar on anti-doping was held for members of the national women’s wrestling team, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) and the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA).
The purpose of the seminar was to promote the principles of fair competition in sport, raise awareness of the values of clean sport, and protect the health of athletes.
The event was organized in accordance with the requirements of the new World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, which will come into force on 1 January 2027. During the seminar, Gudrat Safarov, Leading Specialist of AMADA’s Science, Medicine and Education Department, provided participants with detailed information on prohibited substances and methods, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, doping control procedures, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), as well as the consequences of anti-doping rule violations.
At the end of the seminar, the wrestlers’ questions were answered, and practical knowledge was reinforced through tests.
