Nargiz Samadova became the third in the world

The U-20 World Wrestling Championship continues in Pontevedra, Spain.
Today, the first medalists in women’s wrestling have been determined.
Nargiz Samedova (55 kg) won the consolation match against Canadian Madisin Groff with a score of 9:4. In the bronze medal match, our compatriot faced Japanese Karina Honda. Although her opponent took the lead with a score of 7:0, our wrestler demonstrated true perseverance. At the end of the first period, Samedova executed a brilliant 4-point move and successfully repeated the same move after the break, winning by a fall and securing third place in the world.
Ruzanna Mammadova (59 kg) competed for the bronze medal against Komal Komal from India. Unfortunately, she lost with a score of 1:6, finishing in 5th place.
