Khadija Gurbanzada became European runner-up

The U17 European Wrestling Championships continue in Samokov, Bulgaria.

On the fourth day of competition, one of our wrestlers stepped onto the podium.

Khadija Gurbanzada (49 kg) faced Ukraine’s Olena Kolubay in the final. Our compatriot lost to her opponent with a score of 0:10 and finished the European Championships with a silver medal.

Khadija, who won a bronze medal at the CIS Games last year, claimed her first European Championship medal.
