Hasrat Jafarov reaches World Championship final once again!

The World Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, Croatia are nearing their conclusion.
On the eighth day of competition, action kicked off in the 60 kg, 67 kg, and 87 kg Greco-Roman weight classes.
Murad Mammadov (63 kg) opened with an 8:5 victory over Kyrgyzstan’s Bayaman Karimov. In the next round, he edged Turkey’s Kerem Kamal (5:3) thanks to a last-second move, advancing to the quarterfinals. However, he fell to Iran’s Mohammad Keshtkar 0:8 and was eliminated.
Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) cruised past Venezuela’s Neyser Hidalgo and Australia’s Tsuchika Shimoyamada, both by 9:0, to book his spot in the quarterfinals. There, he defeated Armenia’s Slavik Galstyan 4:3, before overcoming Kyrgyzstan’s Razzak Beyshekeyev 3:1 in the semifinals. With this victory, Jafarov has advanced to the World Championship final once again. He will face Iran’s Olympic, World, and Asian champion Saeid Esmaeili in tomorrow’s title bout.
Islam Abbasov (87 kg) defeated Belarusian Stanislau Shafarenka (competing under UWW) by technical superiority (8:0), but fell short in the round of 16 against Kyrgyzstan’s Asan Janishov, losing 3:4.
