Great interest in the World Championship to be held in Baku

The U17 World Wrestling Championships will be held in Baku from July 27 to August 2.

The prestigious competition, which will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena, has attracted significant interest. More than 650 athletes from various countries around the world have already been registered for the event. Overall, more than 1,000 guests are expected to arrive in Azerbaijan for the World Championships.

The first days of the competition will feature Greco-Roman wrestling bouts, followed by the women’s wrestling events. The freestyle wrestling champions will be determined in the final days of the competition.

The bouts will begin at 10:30 each day, while the medal matches will start at 18:00. The official opening ceremony of the championship will take place on July 27 at 17:15.

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation invites all wrestling fans to attend this spectacular event at the National Gymnastics Arena and watch live as the world’s strongest young wrestlers compete for the titles.
