Four wrestling halls opened in Goychay

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF) continues its activities aimed at strengthening infrastructure and the material and technical base in the regions.

As part of this action plan, four more wrestling halls have been put into operation in the regions.

The opening ceremonies were held with the participation of Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, AGF vice presidents Namiq Aliyev, Namiq Abdullayev and Farid Mansurov, as well as the federation’s Secretary General Parvin Piriyev. Within the framework of cooperation between the Wrestling Federation and the Ministry of Science and Education, the sports halls of Qarabaqqal village secondary school, as well as Secondary Schools No. 1, 3 and 6 in the city of Goychay, were made available to wrestlers. Training in these halls, which develop athletes in all wrestling styles, is free of charge. These wrestling centers provide all necessary conditions for more than 600 athletes to train.

It should be noted that the AGF plans to regularly open new wrestling halls throughout the year.
