Four medals at the Universiade

Wrestling competitions have kicked off at the Universiade of Turkic States in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

The contests, held today in six weight categories at the sports hall of the “Rukh Ordo” Cultural Center, saw four of our wrestlers reach the podium. In Greco-Roman wrestling, our athletes achieved the following: Vedat Gasimli (60 kg) won gold, Ali Guliyev (97 kg) took silver, and Javad Mammadov (77 kg) earned bronze. In freestyle wrestling, Ramik Heybatov (74 kg) secured third place.

The wrestling events at the Universiade will conclude tomorrow.
