Four female wrestlers compete at the world championships

The U17 World Wrestling Championships continue in Baku.

On the third day of the competition, held at the National Gymnastics Arena, four members of Azerbaijan’s women’s national team took to the mat.

Vafa Orujova (43 kg) lost 2-5 to Romania’s Valia Harsan in the Round of 16, while Nazrin Ahmadli (49 kg) was defeated at the same stage by Germany’s Medina Bayramova on criteria following a 1-1 draw.

Garatel Guliyeva (57 kg) lost 2-3 to Switzerland’s Delia Gisler in her opening bout, while Rena Nuriyeva (65 kg) was defeated 5-8 by Mexico’s Silvia Muniz in the qualification round.
