Elnura Mammadova became the U23 European champion

The U23 European Wrestling Championship continues in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

Today, the final medalists in women’s wrestling have been determined.

Gultekin Shirinova (57 kg) defeated Turkish wrestler Emine Cakmak 7:5 in the repechage match but lost the bronze medal bout to Romania’s Georgiana Lirca with a score of 2:9.

Elnura Mammadova (53 kg) faced Russia’s Ekaterina Karpushkina in the final. Winning 3:0, Elnura became the European champion.

Ruzanna Mammadova (65 kg) was defeated 2:8 by Ukraine’s Oleksandra Rybak in the bronze medal match.
