Eldaniz Azizli wins 7th World Championship medal, sets new record

The World Wrestling Championships continue in Zagreb, Croatia.

Today, the first medalists in Greco-Roman wrestling were determined.

Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg) faced Kyrgyzstan’s Ulan Uulu in the bronze medal bout. The captain of our national team claimed victory by technical superiority (9:0) in the opening period, securing the bronze medal.

Thus, Azizli has now stood on the World Championship podium for the seventh time in his career (4 gold, 3 bronze), becoming Azerbaijan’s new record holder in Greco-Roman wrestling achievements.
