Cooperation with Aleksandr Tarakanov comes to an end

Cooperation with Aleksandr Tarakanov, head coach of the Greco-Roman wrestling national team, has ended by mutual agreement.

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation expresses its gratitude to the Russian specialist for his contribution to Azerbaijani wrestling and wishes him success in his future career.

It should be noted that under the leadership of A. Tarakanov, who served as head coach since October 2019, the national team became European champions twice and world champions twice, and also won one bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
