Azerbaijani Women’s Wrestlers Hold Training Camp in Hungary
An international training camp has begun in Tata, Hungary.
The Azerbaijani women’s wrestling team is participating in the training, which includes national teams from 15 different countries. The camp is taking place at the Olympic Training Center under the supervision of acting head coach Toghrul Asgarov. Team members Elnura Mammadova (53 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), and Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) are involved in the preparation. The camp, which serves as a lead-up to upcoming competitions, will continue until July 29.
It should be noted that the next phase of training is also planned to be held abroad. Specifically, members of the U20 national team – Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg), and Zahra Karimzada (72 kg) – are scheduled to train in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, from August 5 to 17. The training will be led by acting head coach Toghrul Asgarov and senior coach Rovshan Umudov. Following the training camp, the team will compete in the U20 World Championship, which will also be held in Sofia.
