Azerbaijani greco-Roman wrestlers win 6 medals

The wrestling competitions at the 3rd CIS Games have concluded.

Today, 60 Greco-Roman wrestlers competed for victory.

At the event held at the Ganja Olympic Sports Complex, our national team won 6 medals — 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze.

Our representatives Elshad Abbasov (51 kg), Ali Nazarov (60 kg), and Islam Sultanov (71 kg) became champions, bringing the national anthem to the arena. Yusif Mirzayev (48 kg) and Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg) claimed silver medals, while Hikmat Hagverdiyev (55 kg) secured bronze.

Thus, our wrestlers finished the CIS Games with a total of 20 medals (5 gold, 6 silver, and 9 bronze).
