Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation launches a new project

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation has launched a new project.

From now on, controversial episodes recorded during various matches will be clarified in special meetings after domestic competitions.

In this regard, the first such competition was the Azerbaijan Championship in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, held on January 7–11 at the Baku Sports Palace. The chief referee of that championship, Asif Shiraliyev, provided explanations regarding controversial episodes recorded in some matches.

It should be noted that the purpose of implementing this project is to ensure transparency in this field and to increase awareness of wrestling rules. The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation plans to carry out various activities in this direction.
