Azerbaijan championship kicks off

Today, the Azerbaijan Wrestling Championship has officially started.

On the first day of competition, finalists were determined in the Greco-Roman wrestling events in the 55, 63, 72, 82 and 97 kg weight categories.

Elmin Aliyev (MOIK, Lankaran) – Tuncay Vazirzade (Neftchi)

97 kg
Mohammad Ahmadiev (Neftchi) – Murad Ahmadiev (Neftchi)

It should be noted that the winners in these weight categories will be determined tomorrow. At the same time, competition will begin in the 60, 67, 77, 87 and 130 kg weight categories. The opening ceremony of the championship will start at 17:00.
