At the Gymnasiade, our country will be represented by 30 wrestlers

The Gymnasiade will be held from April 5 to 12 in Zlatibor, Serbia, for student-athletes.

Our U15 national wrestling teams will also represent our country in the multi-sport event. Wrestling competitions at the Gymnasiade will take place from April 6 to 8.

On April 6, under the leadership of coaches Namig Guliyev and Elshad Allahverdiyev, the following freestyle wrestlers will compete: Elman Ismayilov (38 kg), Huseyn Rzazade (41 kg), Ibrahim Hesenov (44 kg), Tamerlan Namazli (48 kg), Farid Huseynli (52 kg), Elcan Hesenov (57 kg), Mahammad Hesenli (62 kg), Khayal Shukurlu (68 kg), Elvin Necefzade (75 kg), and Tural Eynullayev (85 kg).

The next day, under the guidance of coaches Hesret Memmedyarov and Solmaz Adilova, the girls will take the mat. The team includes: Gulay Khasmammadova (33 kg), Gulhanim Shirnova, Vidan Babayeva (both 39 kg), Gulnar Agadadasova (42 kg), Maryem Hajiyeva (46 kg), Gunel Kerimli (50 kg), Maryem Emreli (54 kg), Inci Abdullayeva (58 kg), Rena Nuriyeva (62 kg), and Simura Abdullayeva (66 kg).

On April 8, under the leadership of coaches Abilfet Memmedov and Ilham Vezirov, our Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete. The team includes: Huseyn Emrahli (38 kg), Ali Javadli (41 kg), Amin Memmedov (44 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (48 kg), Qurban Mecnunov, Huseyn Mustafazade (both 52 kg), Eldeniz Allahverdiyev (57 kg), Ali Memmedov (68 kg), Isfahan Hesenov (75 kg), and Zohreb Safarov (85 kg), who will aim for victory.

The matches will start daily at 12:00 Baku time. II-degree referee Eldar Memmedov will ensure fair play at the Gymnasiade.
