AGF holds meeting on medical affairs

A regular meeting of the Medical Department of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) has been held.

The meeting was attended by AWF Secretary General Parvin Piriyev, Deputy Secretary General Aydan Mammadhasanova, Manager of the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy Rauf Aliyev, and the federation’s medical staff.

During the meeting, a number of important issues related to protecting athletes’ health and improving medical services were discussed. Key topics on the agenda included the organization of the vitaminization process, the development of protocols for vitamin administration, and the allocation of responsibilities in this area.

In addition, within the framework of cooperation with the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, participants exchanged views on the preparation of a physiotherapy center for operation, as well as its working mechanism and operational principles. The meeting also addressed the prevention of wrestlers’ injuries, the organization of treatment and rehabilitation processes, the strengthening of medical supervision, and other current issues.

During the discussions, various proposals were put forward by the participants, priorities for the upcoming period were identified, and relevant decisions were adopted.

The AWF will continue its efforts to protect athletes’ health, enhance the quality of medical services, and implement modern medical approaches.
