AGF finances another wrestling hall

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) continues to hold a series of events for the development of this sport in the regions.

A visit to another wrestling hall, where the federation has been providing inventory and financial support since 2024, was held. AWF regional coordinator Elfag Safarov and coach of the U-20 national freestyle wrestling team Nazim Alijanov visited the wrestling school located in the 4th microdistrict.

This hall, where freestyle wrestling training is held, has trained the European champion and world third place among juniors Elman Aghayev, and the prize-winners of the U-15 European Championship Farhad Suleymanli and Nihad Suleymanli. Free training is held here 6 days a week under the leadership of coaches Alisa Abbasov and Elkhan Iskenderov. Currently, more than 60 teenagers and young people are engaged in freestyle wrestling at this school.
