A wrestling hall was opened in Hil village of Gusar

A wrestling hall has been opened today in the village of Hil, Qusar district.
The event was attended by the head of the Qusar District Executive Authority, Sahir Mammadkhanov, his first deputy Shahid Faramazov, the Secretary-General of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF), Nesimi Musayev, the deputy secretary-general Orkhan Mammadov, regional coordinator Elfaq Safarov, philanthropist-businessman Karim Ilyasov, the head coach of the national Greco-Roman wrestling team, Aleksandr Tarakanov, as well as our recent world champions Eldeniz Azizli, Nihat Mammadli, and Ulvi Qenizade.
During the opening ceremony, the AWF Secretary-General Nesimi Musayev and Qusar district executive head Sahir Mammadkhanov made speeches. It was emphasized that sports are essential for both human health and the promotion of moral values. It was noted that sports in the country are surrounded by state support. The opening of this hall in Hil village will further increase interest in wrestling and sports, providing an ideal space for children aged 8 and above to spend their free time in a healthy and productive way.
The sports hall, equipped with all the necessary wrestling equipment by the AWF, will host free training sessions led by coaches Enrik Talibov and Mehman Babayev.
It was also mentioned that the AWF will continue to take steps to improve infrastructure at the local level to accelerate the development of wrestling in the country.
