A seminar for wrestling coaches was held in Lankaran

The National Seminar of Wrestling Coaches continues.

The next stage of the seminar was held today in Lankaran. Coaches from Lankaran, Astara, Lerik, Masalli, Yardimli and Jalilabad participated in the event organized at the Olympic Sports Complex.

In the theoretical part of the seminar, Yusif Khamiyev, head of the sports department of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department, expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) for organizing the event. Garib Aliyev, chairman of the AWF Referees’ Board, drew attention to the recent support provided by the federation to wrestling halls operating in the regions. Asgarkhan Novruzov, coach of the U-17 national freestyle wrestling team, exchanged views with local experts, listened to their problems and provided his recommendations. Zohrab Abbasov, coach of the U-20 national Greco-Roman wrestling team, said that it is important for athletes to attend training sessions and for wrestling schools to hold friendly meetings with each other frequently. I-S category referee Sadi Guliyev commented on controversial episodes in the competitions with video footage. The practical part of the seminar consisted of a sample training session conducted by Z. Abbasov.

It should be noted that the next stage of the All-Republican seminar of wrestling coaches will be held tomorrow in the city of Sabirabad.
