A new wrestling school was opened in Imishli

One of the key directions for the development of wrestling in Azerbaijan is achieving mass participation.

In this regard, the opening of new wrestling sections in the regions and improving infrastructure is a priority. The opening of a new freestyle wrestling school in Imishli is part of this process.

On October 12, the school, which was provided with equipment by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, was inaugurated. The opening ceremony was attended by Namig Abdullayev, a member of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF), Jabrayil Hasanov, the head coach of the national freestyle wrestling team, and Elfaq Safarov, the AGF Coordinator for the Regions. The guests emphasized that the opening of such halls plays a crucial role in the development of wrestling in the country and wished the young athletes success.

It should be noted that the sports center, which is equipped with two wrestling mats, provides a favorable environment for wrestling lessons. The center also has a large outdoor area for sports activities. Freestyle wrestling coach-teacher Galib Shukyurov will conduct the training sessions at this venue.
