47 new students admitted to the Baku Wrestling School

Student admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year have been held for the 6th and 7th grades at the Baku Wrestling School.

The admission process was organized to assess whether students wishing to train in wrestling and continue their education at the school met the established selection criteria.

Candidates were assessed by the coaches of the national freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams based on the relevant standards. During the admission process, the students’ physical fitness, agility, strength, coordination and aptitude for wrestling were evaluated.

The admission process was conducted in two stages. More than 300 candidates in total applied to participate in the admission examinations for the 6th and 7th grades. Based on the results of the aptitude examinations, 23 students were admitted to the 6th grade and 24 students to the 7th grade at the Baku Wrestling School.

Thus, the admission process for the 2026–2027 academic year has been completed, with 47 students who demonstrated the highest results in the examinations admitted to the Baku Wrestling School to continue their education and train in wrestling.
