Cooperation Memorandum signed between Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport and Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation

On September 25, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport (ASAPES) and the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF).

The memorandum was signed by ASAPES Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ulkar Babayeva and AGF Secretary General Parvin Piriyev at a ceremony attended by ASAPES Rector Fuad Hajiyev.

The main objective of the agreement is to develop cooperation in the fields of education, sport, science and research, implement joint projects and programmes, support the development and promotion of wrestling, and contribute to the training of highly qualified sports professionals.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties plan to cooperate in the professional training and development of athletes, coaches, referees and other sports professionals; create practical experience opportunities for students; organise joint competitions, seminars, training sessions and master classes; and conduct research.

The memorandum also provides opportunities for the mutual use of ASAPES’s educational, scientific and lifelong learning opportunities and AGF’s sports infrastructure and practical expertise, as well as for identifying and developing talented and promising athletes and encouraging students and young people to engage in sport.
