Number of international wrestling referees increases

Azerbaijan’s wrestling refereeing has achieved another success.

Samil Fattayev and Nihad Muradov, who officiated at the U15 European Wrestling Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria, from May 20 to 24 this year, successfully passed their examinations and were promoted to higher categories.

Nihad Muradov (Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic), who previously officiated domestic competitions as a national-category referee, has been promoted to a Category III international referee. Samil Fattayev (Lankaran), meanwhile, has advanced from Category III to Category II.

As a result, the number of international wrestling referees from Azerbaijan has increased to 26.
