Our national team prepares for the U23 world championships in Baku

Our national freestyle wrestling team began a training camp today at the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation’s training base, focusing on general and specific preparation.

The training camp will continue until September 19. Under the guidance of senior coach Jabrayil Hasanov and coaches Taimuraz Kokoyev and Arif Abdullayev, the following wrestlers are taking part: Muhammad Ismayilov, Huseyn Rzazade and Ibrahim Hasanov (all 57kg); Jeyhun Allahverdiyev and Jamal Abbasov (61kg); Musa Aghayev and Aykhan Abdullazade (both 65kg); Ramik Heybatov and Haji Karimov (both 70kg); Aganazar Novruzov and Nihad Abbasov (both 74kg); Elcan Ismayilzade and Elkhan Garayev (both 79kg); Sabukhi Amiraslanov (86kg); Tabriz Bayramov and Anar Jafarli (both 92kg); Said Pashayev and Zafar Aliyev (both 97kg); Khetag Karsanov, Mukhamad Gantemirov and Yusif Dursunov (all 125kg).

It should be noted that the training camp is part of the team’s preparations for the U23 World Championships, which will be held from October 12 to 18 in Las Vegas, USA.
